Of Tans and Curls

Have we ever felt isolate, different or out of place because we feel there's something unusual at what we look, or a physical injury that has brought visible damages? We might and we might not, of course, but its still one of the main reasons why we can't go enjoying our short stay in this planet.

Kung ganyan ka or isa ka sa mga yan, try to look into yourself again. Check your features. You've got the eyes everybody has that has been helping you appreciate the beauty and the madness of the world, that nose that has susutained you your whole life, and that mouth which keep on stuffing food down our throat which has kept yo alive and strong, those legs which has kept you upright and firm as a tree for the trying moments of your life (of course you have had...) and all the others. They may differ in proportion, but they all function the same anyway- same as most other human beings' do.

You can be as dark as your worst nightmares but will it ever hinder you from speaking your mind? No, it wont. It never will. Will those curls ever terrify the people around you? Think again. Come to realize that there are more important things. If you fear about insult or whatever may happen, hear this words from the Crown Prince of Genovia in Walt Disney's The Princess Diaries which I have paraphrased: "Courage in not the absence of fear. It is the acceptance that there are more important things than fear. The BRAVE may not live long, but the CAUTIOUS may not live at all. Be on the journey of figuring out who you are and what you can be." Set your mind into conquering this vast journey into a more fulfilling and contented life. Be on the happy side enjoy it. Ask the Creator to be with you.
